Hi, I'm Adele
I work as a project manager. I’m a parent. I’m an expat living in Paris, France.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to France wasn't part of our long-range plans. As with many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The early months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, fresh expectations. Daily tasks seemed more daunting than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, ambiguity, and a great deal of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, met other families, and began constructing something that felt solid.
Why I Built FarmRiversideEmberglow
Most online guidance fell into either corporate relocation tips or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an authentic, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that void — practical advice grounded in real-life in France.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical experience gained from living in France
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something meaningful changes
This site is not:
- A resource from a tourism authority
- A platform for sponsored reviews
- Just another travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in France continues, along with the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Adele
